Example of radar data

In 2015 / 2016 I spent some time at the glaciolocy research group of the department of earth sciences at the Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, Canada. The objective of this project was to construct an interpolated map of ice depth from ice-penetrating radar data that was collected several years earlier on a glacier in Yukon, Canada. The work required understanding and implementing data processing software coded in Python and MATLAB, and learning to manipulate and visually present the data themselves. The data processing involved filtering, migration and picking of the data, and learning to assess which processing steps were appropriate and advantageous.
